Should My Website Have an English Version?

I recently checked the page views on my site, and the numbers looked encouraging. The site already has Google SEO working, and all major Chinese search engines have indexed it.

I can’t help but feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine should go global. More people around the world deserve to encounter TCM, understand it, and experience it for themselves.

If I were to publish articles in both English and Chinese simultaneously, wouldn’t that make it possible for foreigners with an interest in Chinese traditional culture to stumble upon my site through a search?

And if they got curious enough, maybe they’d come to Beijing and experience the magic of the Four Diagnostic Methods in person?

Or perhaps the site could serve as a health consultation resource for foreign tourists already in China. After all, seeking medical care in a foreign country — especially one where you don’t speak the language — can be a daunting experience.

This could be particularly useful for younger independent travelers. A quick Google search leading them to my site wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.

The real kicker? It would also sharpen my English writing skills. 😎
